Corporate Quiz Results - Triton prevails at Ahmedabad

‘Perseverance Pays’ quipped Pickbrain as the senior duo of Mahesh Manjawala and Mayur Rana clinched the Ahmedabad edition of Tata Crucible. The Triton duo have been consistent finalists year after year and have finished runner up on four previous occasions but have never given up. It finally had to be their day in 2011.

A very thought provoking prelim saw the following teams make it to the final…

• Citibank : Saket Bharadwaj and Arvind Jalan

The final started with Triton getting off to a quick start while the other teams slowly started inching closer in the next round. A few amazing answers for teams and the quiz came alive with the buzzer also coming into play. A young Reckitt Benckiser and a seasoned Thermax made steady progress as Triton consolidated its lead and started playing a wait and watch game.

In the final round the Can Immigration took a negative to squander their effort of getting into the top three while on the final question Thermax cracked a tough one to move into the second slot behind Triton, who powered their way into the national final for the first time.

The guest of honour Mr.Ramesh Vishwakarma, the Plant Head, Tata Motors at Ahmedabad who heads the Nano production there spoke passionately and inspired many with his anecdotes on the creation of Nano and how innovation is all about engaging people.
