Corporate Quiz Results - TIFR and ZS Associates win Pune

Pune witnessed a high quality quiz as both tracks took a prelim of 25 questions. This was followed by the final of the Tata and non Tata track of the quiz, both of which witnessed a pitched battle with the following teams making it to the final.

The six finalists were:

TATA TRACK

  • TCS – Ms. Abha Shah and Ms. Sowmya Ramaswamy
  • Tata Quality Management Services – Anil M and Vinod G Kumar
  • Tata Motors – Sreejith and R Narayanan
  • TIFR – Arnab Bhattacharya and Arka Banerjee
  • Advinus Therapeutics Pvt. Ltd. – Suraj Menon and Siddhartha De
  • Tata Chemicals Ltd. – Ravi Adgulwar and Varun Rao

NON TATA TRACK

  • ZS Associates – Vinod Chandrashekar and Karthik Mohan
  • RBI – Mrs. N Mohana and Supriyo Bhattacharjee
  • Kotak Mahindra Bank – Sachin Newate and Ashit Sharma
  • Development Credit Bank – Rangarajan N and Samrat Mukherjee
  • ZS Associates – Rashmi and Arnab Pal
  • Barclays Technology Centre – Shridhar Acharya and Jayant Kumar

Two scientists from TIFR stumped their other Tata colleagues with some consistent answering that took them into the national final of the quiz for the first time in the Tata track. Finishing runner up behind them was TCS which actually tied with TIFR and lost on the decider.

The external track of the quiz was a thriller with ZS taking early leads into the final only to be challenged quickly by Reserve Bank of India and Tech Mahindra. The quiz progressed into the buzzers and Development Credit Bank displayed great resolve to bounce back but that was trifle too late to win.

In the end it was Rashmi and Arnab from ZS Associates who held their own and did not yield to the pressure from the other teams ensuring they made it to the national final.
