Tata Crucible Campus Hackathon 2018 - Hyderabad

It was a busy morning in Christ University, as 32 determined teams from the South, shortlisted from over 440 applications, made their way to the first ever zonal final of the first campus edition of Tata Crucible Hackathon.

Following an exciting round of prototype display, 4 teams made it to the final pitch round:

  • Mask from Manakula Vinayagar Institue Of Technology: Komalavalli P, Anitha B, Shreepriya G, Mathumitha M, Monikadevi G
  • Sense of Tumour from G.Narayanamma Institute Of Technology And Sciences (Hyderabad): Aakanksha Awar and R.Nikhilaa Tejashwini
  • Team Nital from NIT Surathkal (Mangalore): Nihar Chitnis, Ritvik Arya, and Vishal Sinha
  • Spicy_Bois from SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Chennai): Gautham Venkataraman, Shivam Bajaj, Siddhant Bajoria, Siddhart Balaji

In the end, team Sense of Tumor, were declared winners of the South Zone final for their prototype on breast cancer detection.

Also taking a shot at the open-ended healthcare challenge, runners-up Team Nital presented a Virtual Surgery prototype using the techniques of Augmented Reality and tracking features.
