Campus Quiz Results - Pune – Savoir Faire wins at Pune

Pune, September 2, 2007: A packed garden court at Taj, Pune with over 300 quizzers on a Sunday evening is a rare treat that one gets to witness. “By far the best audience in terms of number of answers from the audience” said Pickbrain at the end of a thrilling evening of quizzing. The turnout was a record for Pune.

The TATA Track of the quiz had three teams from TCS, two from Tata Motors and a team from Tata Bluescope on stage. The battle was close till the final round when the team from TCS (Shoba Ramaswamy and Ramanathan) changed gears to outbeat their colleagues Deepak and Abha Shah to make it to the national final.

The external track of the quiz was a low scoring tense affair with team exercising caution and dreading the negatives on the buzzer resulting in a tie-breaker for the second place. The quiz was won by Savoir Faire of Goa represented by Rajiv D’Silva and Harsh Vardhan who were “consistent” across all the levels of the quiz to win comfortably in the end. Thermax inched past Cognizant on a tie-breaker to win the second place. The other finalists included JP Morgan Chase, Infosys and Persistent Systems.

Pune witnessed some outstanding quizzing and a huge burst of prizes being won by the audience with humour in large doses from not just anchor but the teams on stage and the crowd as well.
