The first Punjab game of the 2019 campus edition of Tata Crucible got underway at Jalandhar at the beautiful campus of LPU. The match kicked off with over 250 teams. The prelim was tricky, with Ms. Rashmi Furtado doing her best to give the teams something to work around. Teams from LPU dominated the super over.
Super Over
THE TOP SIX (FINALISTS)
The final saw a clinical and mature display of quizzing by the DAV team who got into a lead early and kept the momentum right through to win the title. The other teams started late and could not find too many big hits to chase DAV down.
The only team which moved ahead was NIT, which to its peril did not play high values and missed hitting the buzzer on questions they surely seemed to know the answer to. They however assessed the situation well to play for the runner up position.
The chief guest, Engineer H R Singla, Director General, LPU gave away the prizes and wished the winning team well to perform in the future rounds.
