The debut edition of Tata Crucible Campus at Goa witnessed 49 teams battling in the prelim. This was followed by a wild card round for the teams that finished 5th to 10th and the top two from here made it to the final along with the top four institutes.
The final was an absorbing affair laced with a lot of humour both from Pickbrain and the teams. True to the reputation of Goa the fun loving crowd enjoyed every bit of the quiz and answered a huge number of questions to win themselves questions.
While the duo from Goa Inst of Mgmt (Abhishek Jha and Pooja Kamat) looked good in bursts they missed out on the buzzer in the final round but were worthy runners up. The team from NIT looked the most prepared as they cracked some tough posers to ensure they stayed ahead of the rest to win the first Goa campus title. The young team BITS Pilani (Goa campus) – Joshan Cherian and Sunil Thomas rallied well towards the end to finish third.
A positive start to a new location that is sure to witness some exciting quizzing in the times ahead.
It was one of the best quizzes I have been to.
