Campus Quiz Results - Chennai – IIT Madras dominates Chennai
Over 2400 people at the sprawling Music Academy in Chennai almost made it look like a mini stadium. The energy levels were so high that it took the seasoned quizmaster Pickbrain to pull out all the tricks in his bag to contain an audience that huge. He sure is a master at that craft and managed to do so with his wit and articulate oration. The teams that made it were:

THE TOP SIX (FINALISTS)

- IIT Madras :Pranav Hari and Rahul Humayun
- XIME :Somnath Pal and George Kurian
- XIME :Sam Sunder and Pankaj Joseph
- IIT Madras :Prateek and Hatim Syed
- DG Vaishnav College :Sree Ganesh and Kapil. A
The final saw the IIT team with Pranav and Rahul get off to a very quick start and cross the 10-run mark very soon. The DG Vaishnav team and the other IIT team were also in the fray soon but over time it was DG Vaishnav that moved forward with ease.
Their reluctance to play high values meant that Pranav and Rahul, who were playing big sixes had no real pressure as they went about finishing the game in a clinical manner with over 40 runs. The DG Vaishnav team finished with a credible score for the runner up title, their first as a college.
The guest of honour, Ms. Sukanya, Vice President TCS appreciated the teams on a lovely display of knowledge and advised them to leverage the advantage of technology to augment their learning.
