IISER wins dramatic final
The Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh leg of the quiz is known for its massive participation. The quality of the quiz in this region has also gone up manifold, with the many IIMs and other top ranked institutes based here. Ms. Rashmi breezed through the wild cards with questions that were thought provoking but crackable. The six who made it to the finale were :

Cluster Finalists Were
  • Sebin John Michael - IIM Amritsar
  • Sayesha Dogra - Indian School of Business
  • Aditya Gurjar - IIM Amritsar
  • Sanat Mishra - IISER Mohali
  • Ritik Chopra - DAV College Jalandhar
  • Ashutosh Sahu - IIM Jammu
The final of the quiz was truly dramatic. Sanat from IISER tore into the lead and looked like he would dominate the finale and win by a huge margin. Sebin, Sayesha and Ritik, were all doing well to keep the battle alive. It was however Sanat who took a heap of negatives to fall back and make the quiz absolutely interesting, with four of them having a fair chance to win the title. It was only in the final round that Sanat recovered again to win the title by a whisker. It led to a three-way tie for the second place as the lone lady in the final, Sayesha faltered and Sebin got his act right to win the runner up title.

The chief guest Prof. Ashok Kumar Mittal, Chancellor, Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab appreciated the contestants on a grand final that was 'as good or better than the ground event we normally witness' he said. He also wished the young students the best and spoke of how the students and teachers of India had stood up to the challenge of the pandemic, and taken the new environment in their stride. He appreciated the Tata Group for ensuring knowledge events such as this were kept alive in these tough times.
