Campus Quiz Results - Trichy – Shastra excel at Trichy
The Trichy edition of Tata Crucible is always a high quality fare with several top institutes in the region battling annually for the top honours. The teams that made it to the final this year were:
- Sastra University: Venkatasubramaniam and Visaka Simhan
- DOMS NIT: Ms.Parveen Choudhury and Abhilash Reddy
- NIT Trichy: Sibi and Yuthish Prabakar
- BIM Trichy: Shivam Gupta and Prithvi Raj
- NIT Trichy: Gaurav Singh and Nikhil Somani
- NIT Trichy: Karthik and Sundar Rajan
The finale was a quite start with Sastra Univ and NIT represented by Gaurav and Nikhil getting off the blocks early as other teams took their time to settle in. The quiz moved into the visual round quickly and these two teams kept progressing at a steady pace.
Mid way into the buzzers it was evident it would be a two team fare between NIT and Sastra as they were progressing neck and neck. The lateral thinking round brought in the difference as Sastra steered clear and stamped their authority from there on clinching the title with an impressive score of 75. The NIT duo finished runner up with a good score of 45.
Sastra University will now represent Trichy at the South Zone Finals.
