Corporate Quiz Results - Kolkata – HSBC and TCS are Kolkata Kings
It was a day for some serious quizzing and with back to back quizzes it was a treat for the quiz crazy city of Kolkata. The afternoon commenced early and a 25 question prelim led to the following teams making it to respective track finals.
TATA TRACK

NON TATA TRACK

The Tata track of the quiz saw five time champion mJunction get off to an early lead but no where close to their dominating form of a year ago. With two TCS teams Abhishek K and Ms.Debdyuti Sirkar and Abhishek Das and Sudip Kalyan Dey close on heels it was always a tight call. It all came down to the final question where Abhishek Das and Sudip Kalyan Dey with no choice went for the buzzer and got it right to dislodge a great team from Kolkata. To their credit they have been runner up for four editions and perhaps were overdue to win.
The external track of the quiz was an equally tight battle as all quizzes are in the East with Cap Gemini looking good till the final round and with Emami and HSBC in the hunt right through this quiz too came down to the final questions like a T-20 match. HSBC came up with two timely strikes to clinch the title while on the final question Emami pipped Cap Gemini to the post as runner up.
The guest of honour Mr. Viresh Oberoi the CEO and MD of mJunction said “This is both exhilarating and humbling ” as he gave away the prizes.
