Close to 225 teams thronged the banquet hall of Vivanta by Taj Surya at Coimbatore for their edition of Tata Crucible. The energy levels of young Indian and their understanding of business was a treat to watch on an otherwise quite Thursday afternoon. The final was a cliff-hanger in the initial stages with four teams evenly placed at the end of the first couple of ‘overs’. The quality of answers underlined the ever increasing interest and comfort towards business quizzing in this region of India.
As the quiz progressed the battle opened up with PSGCAS in the lead but closely followed by CIT. Tactics were tested as teams started taking risks. As the excitement mounted, the aspiring chartered accountants from ICAI misfired on a couple of questions and lost out. Team PSGCAS which was now in the lead played sensibly and held off a challenge from the CIT duo to clinch the title.
