A classy, elegant Chandigarh audience coupled with the amazing ambience of the Taj would have given one the impression of an art auction as teams converged to battle at the city final of Tata Crucible. A quick prelim led to the following finalists:
The finale was filled with humour, with really funny answers from the teams and equally humorous remarks from the anchor. In the early rounds of the quiz, it was a close battle with most teams staying close to each other in the scoring sequences.
The onset of the buzzers brought Cavinkare, Pioneers and Partners and Bharat Petroleum ahead of the others as questions moved swiftly from one round to another. Bharat Petroleum and Cavinkare came up with some really solid answers in the Tata round to be placed at the same position as the final round commenced.
On the first question of the final round, Cavinkare went for a big hit and got it right to secure a place in the national final for the first time. Bharat Petroleum did well to hold on and finish runner up. The guest of honour, Mr. Sanjay Singh, Vice President Tata Services spoke about how the idea of a Crucible had emerged to create a knowledge connect with young India and why it was important for this generation to focus on continuous learning.
