Campus Quiz Results - Coimbatore – GRD wins Kovai

This is what people call a ‘Dream Debut’. For a first time city that was hosting campus Crucible there were 224 teams from across southern Tamil Nadu. A keenly fought prelim was followed by two wildcard rounds to arrive at the six finalists.

The top six at Coimbatore were :

  • IIM-K – Chinmay Mishra & Shamanth Raho
  • PSGIM-MBA – Md.Rinaz & Rithu Parnam
  • GRD College of Mgmt – Md.Shadab & Vishal Vignesh B.
  • PSG Tech – Meenakshi Sundaram & Vishnu Prabhakar
  • BIM Trichy – Aravind K Raja & Napoleon Hill
  • Amrita School of Business – Ajit Kumar Mishra & Ramnath

The final was a very close affair with all the teams battling hard to stay close to each other. Team IIM-K looked good through the battle and kept the pressure up with other teams like Amrita and PSG answering frequently to stay in the hunt. Along with these teams was GRD was also in the hunt but it was towards the final rounds that they rose to the occasion and gave some stunning answers to move ahead.

In the final round, they took the initiative and some risk to move ahead of IIM-K and from there on just played it sensible to win the first ever Kovai edition.

  • Winners: GRD College of Mgmt – Md.Shadab and Vishal Vignesh B.
  • Runner Up: IIM-K – Chinmay Mishra and Shamanth Raho
