Corporate Quiz Results - Its Yahoo! and Tata Elxsi at Blore

It was certainly one of the most exciting corporate quizzes Bangalore had witnessed in a long while. With over 210 teams and a packed auditorium the stage was set for a thriller. The top six teams from over 210 itself seemed a herculean task to accomplish.

• Dell International – Raj Dam / Rohit Nair

The final was a truly absorbing battle with defending champions ITC, former Bangalore regional champions Yahoo and Kotak Life with three new challengers qualifying on stage. The questions were very balanced and it was heartening to see a quiz appreciating audience applaud a good question even if it went unanswered.

The battle from the very beginning was more about managing pressure and taking the right risks. While most teams got off the block early ITC, Dell, Kotak and Yahoo kept the momentum into the visual rounds as well. It was however, the buzzers that got Dell into a couple of negatives which they could not recover from while ITC, Kotak and Yahoo pulled ahead of the rest.

The final rounds were true edge of the seat entertainment as the quiz went right down the wire and Kotak falling short of champions Yahoo by a mere 5 points and ITC finishing third.

Earlier in the day, there was an exclusive track for only Tata companies dominated by the presence of 3 Titan teams in the final. However, it was a young Tata Elxsi team (Ajay Rao / Rajesh Kumar) that performed consistently across rounds to win the final. Team Titan with Harish Bhat and Shivaram battle a long tiebreaker with another Titan team (Arun Narayan / Sachin Mathews) to emerge runner up.
